Payment & Delivery
Payment is accepted online by credit card and by direct deposit (EFT) only. Payment must be made, and confirmation received by Aficionados, before your order can be dispatched.

Once you have selected the products you wish to purchase and have proceeded to the "Payment" screen you will be prompted to select your preferred method of payment.

CREDIT CARD

Credit card types that we can accept are Mastercard, Visa and Diners

Credit card payments are processed via our website through the secure services offered by Virtual Card Services which is in turn certified by Thawte Security.

Your order will be processed as soon as the credit card transaction is approved.

Please note that we cannot accept debit card payments.

DIRECT DEPOSIT

You may also pay via Electronic Fund Transfer (EFT) or direct deposits into our bank account.

Your order will be processed as soon as receipt of the deposit is confirmed. Please use the order reference number as the 'beneficiary reference' for your deposit. This will allow us to link your payment to your order and get your parcel on its way to you without delay!

Please note that in the case of cheque deposits we aren't able to despatch your parcel until the cheque has cleared.

DELIVERY

Your order will be delivered to your door by one of our courier partners.

Please note that since we are using courier services we can only deliver to physical addresses and someone obviously needs to be at that address to receive the delivery. For that reason you may want to consider using a business address for purposes of delivery.

Please also note that we only deliver on business days.

DELIVERY WITHIN SOUTH AFRICA ONLY

Please note that due to liquor licence requirements and agreements with our suppliers we only deliver to addresses in South Africa.

DELIVERY TURNAROUND TIMES

Delivery turnaround times vary according the delivery address and the availability of the products you have ordered.

The delivery times indicated for each of the products on this website are based on delivery to major centres and take into account the current availability of the products. Please note that product availability, and delivery times, may change without notice as we depend on our suppliers in this regard.

The expected delivery time for your order will be based on the longest expected delivery time for any of the products included in your order. If you would like to receive the more immediately available products sooner please consider placing separate orders for those products.

Please note that expected delivery times are just that, and while we will make every effort to ensure that your order is delivered on time, we can offer no guarantees in that regard.

DELIVERY CHARGES

Delivery to most parts of Johannesburg, Pretoria and Cape Town is free of charge for orders valued at R1 200 or more.

Current delivery charges for various areas are set out in the following table:

Where, for example R95 + R10 indicates R95 for the first 5kg (roughly three bottles) and roughly R10 per bottle additional bottle.

For purposes of our delivery arrangements Main Centres includes most parts of Durban, Bloemfontein, George, Port Elizabeth, Kimberly and East London.

A quote for delivery charges, if applicable, will be provided during the online ordering process once the delivery address has been specified.

Delivery charges will be reviewed from time to time.

NO DELIVERY TO PERSONS UNDER THE AGE OF 18 YEARS

As you know, alcoholic beverages may not be sold to persons under the age of 18 years. We strongly support efforts by community groups and the liquor industry to discourage under-age drinking. Our courier partners have been instructed to request proof of age from the person signing for the delivery we would really appreciate it if you would co-operate with them in this regard.

PRODUCT AVAILABILITY

The supply of products offered on our website is usually very reliable, but is still subject to availability.

If for any reason a product you have ordered is out of stock and cannot be sourced in the timeframe indicated to you at the time of purchase, we will contact you and offer you the option of either changing your order, or cancelling the order and receiving a full refund.
